SC refuses to stay HC order quashing minority sub-quota

The Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to stay Andhra Pradesh High Court order quashing 4.5 per cent sub-quota for minorities in central educational institutions.

SC issues notices and seeks response from petitioners who had challenged the 4.5 per cent sub-quota.

SC questions grant of 4.5 per cent reservation to minorities on religious ground.
