Satya Saibaba’s condition critical but stable
The condition of Satya Saibaba on Thursday remained critical but stable with doctors attending on him expressing satisfaction with his response to the treatment.
"Sri Sathya Sai Baba continues to be stable and his health on the whole is in the same condition as it was on Wednesday evening," a health bulletin issued this morning by A.N. Safaya, director of Sri Sathya Sai Institute Of Higher Medical Sciences, said.
"His vital parameters are near normal including the functional indices of vital systems like heart rate, blood pressure, blood bio-chemistry and blood gas saturation values," it said.
"He continues to be on ventilator to assist his lungs and to allow the secretions to be sucked out.The dialysis process has been further reduced. The level of consciousness continues to show improvement," it said.
"Although his state of health is still critical, yet the panel of doctors treating him is satisfied with his response to the treatment being given to him," the bulletin added.
85-year-old Sathya Sai Baba was admitted to the super-speciality hospital on March 28 following heart and kidney-related problems.
