S. korean rape: resort manager held after t.i.p.

The manager of Jungle Inn resort at Tala near the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, Deepak Vishwakarma, was on Saturday arrested on the charge of sexually assaulting a 23-year old South Korean tourist after he was put through the identification parade.

The manager was picked up from Tala and detained by the Manpur Umaria police Friday night after a lady inspector from Aurangabad, Maharashtra, arrived there with the rape victim to transfer the FIR registered earlier by the Kranti Chowk PS in Aurangabad.
The South Korean tourist was allegedly drugged and raped on December 14 when she returned after taking a safari in the tiger reserve.
