Renuka: need course correction

Congress spokesperson Renuka Chowdhury brushed aside claims that the defeat in Hisar, Khadakwasla and Banswada will affect the coming Assembly polls in five states, including Uttar Pradesh. She, however, noted that the result

in the bypolls will lead to “some course correction”. “We have no pleasure in losing an election... We will examine... We must ensure that the party is strengthened,” Ms Chowdhury said.
Daring Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal to contest elections from Hisar, she said the Congress “defeat” has nothing to do with Team Anna.
“It was not a Congress stronghold. We had got the third place in the last elections. In elections, victory or defeat are a common thing. Kejriwal, who belongs to Hisar, should have contested the seat. Now Team Anna should issue a certificate of ‘no corruption’ to Bishnoi,” she said.
