Reddy: no jail food, only what friends get
Former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy turned down the simple fare offered at the Chanchalguda Central Jail, and instead preferred the food brought to him by his friends. Jail officials said that on Tuesday he was woken
up at around 5.30 am, and was served khichdi for breakfast followed by tea. He didn't take the khichdi. For lunch, he was served 600 gms of rice, 100 gm of dal, rasam and curd, but he did not eat that too. Later, he had some fruits brought by Raidurg MLA K. Ramachandra Reddy at around 3.30 pm. He had brinjal fry along with rice and curd at around 4.30 pm. Karnataka MLC Mrityunjaya Jinaga, former Congress MP Gnanender Reddy and some relatives of B. Srinivas Reddy turned up at jail to meet them.
