Reddy may face CBI narco test
With former minister, Gali Janardhan Reddy, proving a tough nut to crack, the CBI now plans to subject him to a polygraph and narco analysis test
with the permission of the special court in Hyderabad.
The court on Monday extended the judicial custody of the mining baron turned politician and his brother-in-law Srinivasa Reddy until October 3 and
is likely to hear their bail petition on Tuesday.
The CBI plans to seek the court’s permission to conduct a polygraph test on not only Mr Janardhana Reddy and Mr Srinivas Reddy , but also on three
other directors of the Obalapuram Mining Company, Ms Lakshmi Aruna, G. Karunakar Reddy and Rayadurga MLA K. Ramachandra Reddy, say sources. “The
CBI has been looking for a confession from Janardhan Reddy, but if he continues to remain tight-lipped, the CBI may seek permission to do a
polygraph and narco analysis test on him and the others,” said sources working closely with the CBI. Mr Janardhan Reddy is reportedly not
admitting to any of the alleged fraudulent transactions his company is said to have conducted despite papers and bank records bearing his
signatures. The CBI said he could be brought to Bellary for opening the lockers on either Monday or Tuesday.
