Raman announces retirement age extension for govt workers
In an apparent bid to woo nearly two lakh state government employees in the election year, Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh here on Thursday announced extension of retirement age for them from 60 to 62.
“The benefits of enhanced age of retirement, made effective from the current month, would be extended to the employees of all Municipal Corporations, boards, state government undertakings, panchayats, besides the employees of state government,” Mr Singh declaring while addressing the state-level Independence Day function here.
The chief minister also announced substantial hike in monthly honorarium of panchayat and revenue workers.
