Raje pulls up Gehlot over rains
Even Though the “rain God” smiled on the desert state of Rajastha, the war of words between chief minister Ashok Gehlot and the Opposition BJP refused to die down. Joining the issue, BJP general secretary Vasundhara Raje said, “Where was he last year when the state witnessed scanty rains. To kya pichli baar woh gufa me ghus gaye the? (was he hiding in the cave last time?), she asked.
Addressing a gathering of her party workers in Jaipur on Sunday, Ms Raje lashed out at Mr Gehlot saying the chief minister termed drought as a big brother only few days back and now he is making such tall statements.
“The Congress government should pay attention to the development of the state rather than keeping eyes on me. It is obsessed with me,” said the former chief minister.
She said her party never said that the state received good rains while Mr Gehlot was abroad.
