Rajasthan BJP MLA hits out at state top brass

The internal discord in the Opposition BJP surfaced when its MLA Hanumal Beniwal openly criticised former chief minister Vasundhra Raje and her trusted leaders for, what he said, causing damage to the party. He also lashed out chief minister Ashok Gehlot for soft peddling on charges of corruption against the previous regime.

The state BJP chief Arun Chaturvedi sought details about Mr Beniwal’s remarks. Mr Beniwal used twice the public platform in last four days to attack his party leaders. Earlier, Mr Beniwal while speaking at the mahapanchayat organised by scion of Bharatpur’s ex-royals, Vishvendra Singh, said it was his mistake contesting election on BJP symbol. However, he was more critical on Wednesday.
