Jaipur, Nov. 20

The state helicopter carrying chief minister Ashok Gehlot made an emergency landing on Sunday near Chandgothi village under Churu district due to a technical snag. The helicopter was flying from state capital Jaipur when it developed a technical snag and the pilot made an emergency landing. “It was a safe landing and all is well,” said a senior officer.
According to sources, the helicopter was carrying CM Gehlot for a function at a village Nyangla Badi in Churu district. “After the safe landing, the CM proceeded by road for the function,” said the sources.
The helicopter is Italian-made and was acquired during the previous BJP government. There were two crew and security staff on board. It had a narrow escape when its wings developed problems. The pilot noticed some problem and immediately decided to make an emergency landing. “All occupants are well and were moved for the function by road,” said an officer. The helicopter took off from Jaipur’s Sanganer airport on Sunday morning for Churu district where the CM was scheduled to address a function.
