Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s padayatra appears in trouble on the second day, with Aligarh district officials saying it would violate prohibitory orders in force there.

Aligarh SSP Satyendra Vir Singh said: “Section 144 CrPC is in force since June 12, and Rahul Gandhi’s padayatra will be a clear violation.” The Congress, he said, had got permission for its kisan mahapanchayat on July 9, but no permission has been taken for the padayatra.
