Rahul focus on youth on Day 2
Front-ranking Congress leader and party general secretary Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday completed the second round of his hectic three-day itinerary in Madhya Pradesh by focusing main attention towards identifying and motivating leaders among the youth to carry forward the Congress party’s message at the grassroot level.
Starting from Betul, the headquarters of a predominantly tribal district, Mr Gandhi went to Sendhwa in Badwani. From there, he headed straight for Ujjain, the historic temple city of Lord Mahakal, where he held prolonged discussions with party workers and leaders.
The Ujjain parliamentary constituency is a reserved SC constituency.
Over the years, Ujjain was being recognised as a Bharatiya Janata Party bastion but the Congress wrested this seat from the BJP in the 2009 parliamentary election.
