Punjab minister gets five years jail for daughter's death
A senior minister in Punjab's Parkash Singh Badal government was on Friday held guilty by a court here for conspiracy in the death of her own daughter in April 2000 and sentenced to five years rigorous imprisonment.
Cabinet minister Jagir Kaur, who is a former Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president, was convicted by the special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court here.
