Probe against headley far from over

Highly placed ministry sources said though the chargesheet against American-born LeT operative David Coleman Headley may have been filed, investigations against him are far from over. It has finally been decided that the NIA will seek Headley’s extradition from the US even though he has entered into a plea bargain arrangement there.

The two Pakistani Army officers, Major Iqbal and Major Sameer Ali, were working for the ISI and provided training to terrorists who carried out the Mumbai massacre. In fact, they were constantly giving instructions to the terrorists on cell phones during the 26/11 carnage.
The NIA will soon be sending a letter rogatory to Morocco seeking permission to question Headley’s wife, Faiza Outalha. NIA sources said Faiza has tremendous information about the 26/11 conspiracy and planning as she had accompanied Headley on several trips to India between 2005 and 2008. NIA has already sent letters rogatory to both Pakistan and the US seeking more evidence and details with them regarding 26/11.
Meanwhile, the NIA chargesheet clearly states that Hafiz Saeed was the main mastermind behind the Mumbai attack. While he planned the entire operation his trusted aides, Lakhvi and Kashmiri, executed the entire operation by handling logistics and arranging men and ammunition.
