Pranab says Afghanistan cab be hub of trade, energy

President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday batted for Afghanistan being turned into a regional hub for economic growth and pointed out that Indian companies were interested in bidding for its natural resources.

The President conveyed this to the visiting second vice-president of Afghanistan Karim Khalili. The President said Afghanistan has the potential to be a hub for regional trade, transport and energy and a land of opportunity which can contribute to regional growth, said Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesperson Venu Rajamony.
