Police zero in on suspect in boy's killing
Six days after the death of a 13-year old boy due to gun shot wounds in an Army premises here, Tamil Nadu CB-CID police is 'zeroing' in on the prime suspect in the mysterious incident.
The police have obtained the postmortem report which is understood to have established that a bullet injury had killed Dilshan when he scaled the Army campus housing residential quarters to pluck almonds on Sunday.
Refusing to divulge more details on the progress of the case, CB-CID sources today said that they were 'zeroing' in on the culprit and wanted to build a water-tight case.
"The probe is still on. We are looking at all angles," the sources said.
Police have already said that they have identified persons who were in the 'suspicious zone'.
An Army officer in the rank of Lt Colonel and some others were questioned in the past few days in connection with Sunday's incident when the teenager fell victim to a bullet after he trespassed into the Army area, triggering protests from locals.
CB-CID wing has said the agency was conducting 'scientific, physical and oral' investigations with Army extending 'good cooperation'.
