PM announces Rs 2l for deceased

Expressing deep anguish over the loss of lives in the recent communal clashes in Muzaffarnagar in UP, PM Manmohan Singh on Tuesday announced `2 lakhs each for the next of kin of those killed and `50,000 each for the seriously injured in the incidents. The PMO said in a statement that the ex-gratia was sanctioned from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
