Plea for bail by Kani, five others today

The Delhi high court will on Friday hear bail pleas by DMK MP Kanimozhi and five other accused in the 2G scam, who sought an earlier bail hearing after the Supreme Court gave bail to five others on Wednesday. Their hearing was earlier on December 1.

Justice V.K. Shali on Thursday asked defence lawyers to furnish a list of charges against those granted bail by the Supreme Court on Wednesday, and that against those seeking bail, plus a list of witnesses whose statements were recorded by the trial court.
Besides Ms Kanimozhi, the five others are DMK-run Kalaignar TV’s MD Sharad Kumar, former telecom secretary Siddh-arth Behura, Bollywood producer Karim Morani and Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables directors Asif Balwa and Rajiv Agarwal.
