Pilot killed in army chopper crash in Siachen

An army helicopter crashed in the Siachen Glacier area of Jammu and Kashmir.

The pilot flying the Cheetah chopper was killed in the crash that occurred around 11.30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The chopper was on a routine sortie over the area, media reports quoted army sources, as saying.

Army sources said that an inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
