Pak delegation faces visa trouble at Ajmer
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan and president of Muslim League-Quaid Choudhary Shujaat Hussain, along with a group of Pakistani nationals, was not allowed to visit the shrine of Khawaja Moinuddin Chishty in Ajmer till all of them produced their visa documents.
The incident occurred on Saturday when Mr Hussain reached Ajmer with the Pakistani delegation and was unable to produce proper travel documents.
According to the authorities, the Pakistani delegation forgot to bring documents with them when they arrived in Ajmer.
“We just requested them to produce the documents as per law .but they realised the documents were not with them,” a local police officer said.
The Pakistani group was asked to wait till the documents were confirmed.
Sources said the group members left their documents in Jaipur which is 145 kms from Ajmer. Some members of the Pakistani delegation forgot to bring papers with them, according to a local police officer.
“They were at hotel for breakfast and meanwhile they managed to produce copies of travel documents taken out through computer ,” a local police officer said.
Clarifying that it was not detention, the police officer added that they just asked the group to show necessary documents that is necessary as per law.
According to the authorities, the Pakistani delegation visited the Dargah and offered prayers.
Pakistani leader Mr Choudhary along with a delegation came to Jaipur for a wedding function.
