P Vishwaroop’s son Krishna Reddy arrested
Hyderabad: Police on Wednesday arrested Krishna Reddy, son of minister for animal welfare and husbandry P. Vishwaroop, as well as the minister's son-in-law Sambamoorthy for allegedly assaulting the latter's business partner following a financial dispute.
Acting on a complaint filed by the victim B. Raghavulu, 28, SR Nagar police took the duo into custody along with two of their accomplices.
According to the complainant, Sambamoorthy and his associates picked him up and took him to a room at Vengalraonagar, and beat him up with sticks. Raghavulu sustained injuries on his hand and shoulder. In the complaint, he has named nine people including the minister’s son, Krishna Reddy, for assaulting him.
SR Nagar police said that Sambamoorthy and Raghavulu have been business partners for the last five years. “Raghavulu is alleged to have cheated Sambamoorthy, and owes him lakhs. This led to the assault,” said SR Nagar inspector S. Prabhakar.
Sources said when Sambamoorthy asked for certain bills, Raghavulu, a resident of Madhuranagar, had produced fake bills. Raghavulu owes Sambamoorthy around `80 lakh, sources said.
