Over 95,000 appear for CET
More than 95,000 medical doctors appeared for the first-ever Common Entrance Test for post- graduate medical students. The result for the test is likely to be declared in January 2013.
The new online test system that offered flexibility for aspirants to choose any date between November 23 to December 6, 2012. The NEET-PG is an eligibility examination prescribed as a single window entrance examination to all MD/MS/post-diploma courses in the country, replacing other examinations like All-India Post-Graduate Entrance Examination and various state level postgraduate entrance or institution level entrance examination. Dr Bipin Batra, executive director, NBE stated that, “NBE had engaged the services of more than 250 faculty members across the country for creating a question bank for the purpose of NEET-PG test in line with the objectives of the test. Strict physical and technical infrastructure parameters were adopted to ensure that the candidates get a high quality testing experience and the entire test is conducted in a secure and foolproof manner. NBE had delivered the NEET-PG with no displacement of any candidate and ensured 100 per cent success rate for all the candidates who took the test.”
