Opposition disappointed with U.P. govt

The Samajwadi Party has expressed complete satisfaction with the first 100 days of the Akhilesh Yadav government, but the Opposition is sorely disappointed over the government’s performance.
SP spokesman Rajendra Choudhury told this correspondent that the government had restored the faith of the people in the democratic system and had also demolished the reign of terror. “People are breathing free now and that in itself is the biggest achievement of this government. The chief minister has taken concrete steps to fulfil the promises made in the manifesto and is working towards development,” he said.
UP Congress president Rita Bahuguna Joshi, however, felt that in the first 100 days, the Akhilesh government had lost much of its sheen. “The government had raised great hopes but the first 100 days have not lived up to expectations. The chief minister has failed to control the law and order situation and neither has he been able to control the power situation from getting out of control. His administrative capabilities are also being questioned,” she said.
Mr Laxmikant Bajpai, state BJP chief, echoed similar sentiments when he said the SP government lacked authority and the bureaucracy was working without any definite direction.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
