NVF constable shot dead

A constable of the National Volunteer Force (NVF) was shot to death by his colleague at Deganga in North 24 Parganas. The murder took place on Monday late night during a verbal altercation between them at the Hamadama NVF camp.

The victim was identified as Majid Ali Mondal, aged around 55.
He got engaged in an altercation at around 11.10 pm with his colleague Abdul Motayek after he insulted him for preparing a dish of Kuche fish.
Majid abused him and in a fit of rage, Motayek brought his service rifle and shot Majid.
