Nuclear scientist P.K. Iyengar dead

Eminent nuclear scientist P.K. Iyengar, former chairman of Atomic Energy Commission (AEC), passed away after a brief illness here on Wednesday, an official source said.

He is survived by his wife, a son and daughter.

Iyengar was renowned as a nuclear physicist with keen interest in developing indigenous experimental facilities.
