Hyderabad: The NTR clan was present in full force  to support the Telugu Desam on the occasion of NTR’s 17th death anniversary here on Friday.
While the Telugu Desam president, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu’s son, Mr Nara Lokesh, who is slowly stepping into his father;s shoes, flagged off the Amar Jyothi rally from an NTR statue at Rasoolpura to NTR Ghat, the actor Junior NTR asserted that the TD would romp home in the 2014 elections.
Mr Lokesh was the cynosure of all eyes and his posters and cut-outs were prominently displayed at Rasoolpura, indicating that his induction into the party in a key post was imminent.
Actor Balakrishna who garlanded NTR’s statue said that the revolutionary welfare schemes initiated by his father as Chief Minister were implemented by successive governments.
“NTR quit film, joined politics and ensured a big win for the TD in a span of barely nine months, creating a record of sorts. He was a spotless leader who fought corruption and brought political stability to the state,” Balakrishna said.
Jr NTR, offering floral tributes at NTR Ghat, said, “I haven’t distanced myself from anyone. I was busy with film shoots, hence I could not participate in the padayatra.”  He said he would campaign for the TD if his services were required. "I don't want to enter politics now. I have a long way to go. My focus now is on films," he said.
Jr NTR asserted that Chandrababu Naidu's padayatra would strengthen the party further and welcomed the decision to extend it.
Along with Lokesh, mother Ms Bhuvaneshwari, actor Balakrishna,  Daggubati Venkateshwara Rao, Union Minister Ms D Purandeshwari, N. Harikrishna, Jayakrishna, Ramakrishna and other members of the families of NTR,Daggubati's and Nara paid floral tributes at NTR Ghat. With Chandrababu Naidu busy with his padayatra, son Lokesh and brother-in-law

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
