Nirupama ended life, says AIIMS
Ranchi, Aug. 25: A hospital report has said that journalist Nirupama Pathak, who was found dead in her home in Jharkhand on April 29, committed suicide and was not murdered, a government source said on Wednesday.
We have received a report from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The report says that Nirupama committed suicide and she was not murdered, a source in the Jharkhand government said.
Nirupama, 23, a Delhi-based scribe, was found dead in her home in Koderma’s Chitragupta Nagar.
Her mother, Sudha Pathak was arrested by the police on May 3. She was given bail by court on August 3.
Nirupama’s Delhi-based boyfriend, Mr Priyabhanshu Ranjan, accused her family of killing her.
Nirupama’s family, in turn, charged Ranjan with rape and abetment to suicide.
Her family members alleged that she was under depression and committed suicide.
A rape and abetment to suicide case was lodged in Koderma on the directive of a court.
