NIA charges headley, eight others

The National Investig-ation Agency on Satur-day chargesheeted American-born Lash-kar-e-Tayyaba operative David Coleman Headley and eight others for planning and executing the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.

The move sends a terse message to Paki-stan as for the first time two serving Pakis-tani Army officers, Major Iqbal and Major Sameer Ali, have also been chargesheeted. The other key accused in the chargesheet incl-ude LeT founder Hafiz Saeed, Headley’s associate Tahawwur Rana, top LeT commanders Illyas Kashmiri and Zaki-ur-Rehman Lak-hvi, Headley’s handler Sajid Malik, and Abdul Rehman Hash-mi, a former Pakistani Army officer.
