New module behind blasts?
The powerful twin explosions that rocked Hyderabad on Thursday appear to have been carried out by a totally new terror module which has never been on the “radar of the intelligence agencies”. This is why despite several indications of a possible strike, these agencies could not zero in on this group and failed to prevent the Hyderabad blasts.
These are some of the preliminary findings in a report submitted by the National Investigation Agency and the Intelligence Bureau to the home ministry. Sources said investigators briefed home minister Sushilkumar Shinde and home secretary R.K. Singh in detail that the blasts were carried out by a new module.
The NIA and other Central intelligence agencies believe though the planning for the blasts may have been done by top Indian Mujahideen “commanders” like the Bhatkal brothers, the “foot soldiers” did not appear to have had any previous involvement.
