Naxal charged with ‘rebellion’ against outfit
A top Naxal leader of Bastar, allegedly involved in last year’s attack on a check post manned by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at the plant site of National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) at Kirandul in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district killing seven jawans and a civilian, has been charged of raising rebellion against CPI (Maoist) and was produced in a jan adalat (people’s court) for his trial on Sunday, intelligence sources said on Monday.
Malangir Area Committee commander Badru was produced before the kangaroo court set up at Burgum in Dantewada district on Sunday for his trial on charges of revolting against the organisation following speculation in the rebel circle that he was planning to surrender before police along with his Naxal “fiancée” to start a new life.
