National issues to be discussed at BJP's meet in Jammu
National issues like JPC probe into the 2G scam, corruption, price rise and Kashmir would be discussed in the BJP's national office bearers meeting here tomorrow.
"Top BJP leaders, including party President Nitin Gadkari, L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, seven chief ministers of the BJP-ruled states, deputy chief ministers and celebrities will arrive here to take part in one of the biggest conclave of national office bearers meet," BJP state press secretary Balbir Ram told PTI.
Chief ministers of BJP ruled states — Narendra Modi, BS Yeddyurappa, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Raman Singh, Prem Kumar Dhumal, Arjun Munda and Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank would attend the meet too, he said.
Also senior BJP leaders Murli Manohar Joshi, Rajnath Singh, Anant Kumar, Venkaiah Naidu, Vasundhara Raje, Hema Malini, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Smriti Irani will take part in the meeting.
During the day-long meeting tomorrow, discussions would be held on national issues like JPC, corruption, rising prices, national security, Omar Abdullah's statement on Kashmir, Centre-appointed interlocutors and Kashmir situation, Ram said.
A massive public rally, which would be addressed by national party leaders, shall be held at Parade Ground on December 24.
"The rally will send a message to the chief minister and J-K government that people of Jammu can not be taken for granted and the BJP stands behind them," he added.
