Namdhari booked on murder charge: Did he kill Hardeep?

In a significant development in the double murder of Ponty Chadha and his brother Hardeep, the Delhi police on Thursday booked Sukhdev Singh Namdhari on murder charges. This has turned the investigation on its head as it now seems certain it was Namdhari, and not his PSO Sachin Tyagi, who shot Hardeep dead.
Namdhari, who was produced in court Thursday, was remanded to three days’ police custody. The police told the court as per the arms licence issued to Namdhari, he was entitled to 10 bullets for his pistol, of which only eight empty cases had been recovered, while the other two were missing. The police suspects these two missing bullets were fired at Hardeep. The police had sought his remand for seven days.
