Mulayam: I’ll oppose ‘any further division’

Samajwadi chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, a key UPA ally, on Sunday attacked the Congress for “further dividing the nation” and said his party wouldn’t support any bill to create a separate Telangana in Parliament.

Speaking to reporters after hosting an iftar party, Mr Yadav said: “I will definitely oppose it if the UPA moves a bill on Telangana statehood.”
The SP chief added: “Be it Congress or BJP, I have maintained these parties have tried to divide the nation in one form or the other.”
