MP: Mass contact programme by BJP from feb. 25
The ruling BJP unit in Madhya Pradesh ended its two-day marathon executive committee session on Sunday, with state party president Narendra Singh Tomar’s announcement that the party organisation would be getting into the election mode (for the state Assembly elections to be held later this year) through a Maha Jansampark Abhiyan beginning on February 25, which happens to be the birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas.
Addressing a press conference at the state party headquarters on Sunday evening, the state BJP chief said that the Maha Jansampark Abhiyan (mass contact programme) target is to reach out to 2.25 crore voters across 53,000 polling booths with the help of 49,000 party workers.
These workers would be divided into 4,572 teams. During the mass contact programme, people will be given booklets highlighting the state BJP government’s achievements and also a separate handout listing the failures of the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre.
