MP lokayukta raids excise officer house
The Madhya Pradesh lokayukta on Thursday continued with its anti-corruption drive and unearthed unaccounted wealth and property worth crores of rupees in simultaneous raids at the office and residential premises of the Khandwa district excise officer B.P. Bharke.
According to the lokayukta police, the residence and office of Mr Bharke was raided at Khandwa and Hoshangabad.
They have seized cash, jewellery and documents indicating ownership of 100 acres of ancestral land besides 50 acres of land acquired by Mr Bharke himself.
He also owns a house worth about Rs. 50 lakh at Goyal Vihar and a plot worth `30 lakh at Omex City in Indore.
