Monster held for 5 daughters’ rape

In a shocking case of rape and sexual assault of five daughters over several years, a 62-year-old man and his wife have been arrested by the police in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. According to the victims, he did not even spare his four-year-old granddaughter.

The police arrested the couple on Tuesday when the victims mustered up the courage to inform the police about the crime by her own father. The police said it all happened with the connivance of the mother of the victims.
“He is a retired government employee and confessed to the crime,” said Bharatpur superintendent of police Ashutosh Bhomia.
The couple was taken into custody from Kotwali area of Bayana town in Bharatpur district.
The SP said the couple have five daughters and two of them called on the police with a written complaint detailing the atrocities committed by their father for several years.
“The two victims gave graphic details of the atrocities committed on them by their father and said their mother asked them to obey their father’s orders,” said a police officer.
One of the elder daughters told the police that it started first with her when she was in Class 6.
The 40-year-old victim said when she resisted the father beat her with an iron rod and tortured her brutally.
The victim said when she was in Class 8 she became pregnant and her father took her to Agra for an abortion.
But that was not the end of the sexual assaults. She said she got married in 1995 but, before her wedding function, she was taken to a private nursing home in Bharatpur where her foetus was aborted.
According to the police, one daughter narrated their ordeals in a nine-page letter.
The victims said their father also played obscene films and forced them to watch. The arrested person used to take his daughters out of town and would check into hotels where he would rape them.
One of the victims said her father not only raped them but on Diwali he attempted to molest her four-year-old daughter at home.
“Then I resolved to approach the police,” the victim told the police. The victims approached the police accompanied by their husbands.
One of the victims said since her schooling to graduation, till April 20, 2003, her father raped her repeatedly.
“There was no sense of remorse in the accused,” said a police officer.
