Modi set to address UP rallies Oct.
Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, who is also BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, will address rallies in Uttar Pradesh from October.
According to UP BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak, the Gujarat chief minister’s office has informed the party’s state unit that Mr Modi will be addressing three rallies in UP in October and November.
The first rally will be held in Kanpur on October 15, the second in Jhansi on October 25 and the last of the three rallies will be held in Bahraich on November 8. BJP president Rajnath Singh will address the three rallies along with Mr Modi and, interestingly, all three constituencies are presently being represented by Congress MPs. Kanpur is represented by Union minister Sriprakash Jaiswal, Jhansi is held by Union minister Pradeep Jain Aditya and Bahraich is held by Kamal Kishore Commando of the Congress.
