Modi: I don’t follow divisions
The RSS is seething as Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi apparently ignored the Sangh Parivar and took only a section of the BJP’s top leadership into confidence.
The other PM aspirant in the saffron camp, Mrs Sushma Swaraj, appeared to be reconciling to Mr Modi’s emergence in the party when she said, “Narendra bhai aap rajpath par badhte chalo, hum sab aapke saath hain (Narendra bhai, you march ahead on the path to power, we are all with you).”
However, Mr Modi, said, “When the Sachchar Committee members visited Gujarat, I was asked, what I do for the minorities here ? I told them, my
government does nothing for the minorities.” Mr Modi went on, “They were shocked. I told them my government does not anything for the majorities
either. My government works for six crore Gujaratis, for their collective good and progress. I don’t follow these divisions. The road of vote bank
politics is not for me.”
