MBA student held for cheating
Two men, including an MBA student, have been arrested by the police for allegedly being involved in theft, misappropriation and cheating. The police has recovered a lost debit card, `80,000 in cash, two mobile phones, four jackets, two pairs of branded shoes from the accused.
According to the police, a complaint was lodged by RBI general manager Daulat Ram Pawar on February 25 saying that someone had withdrawn `90,000 using his lost debit card, besides making purchases worth `35,000. He told the police that he had lost his debit card in Karol Bagh on January 23, following which he got a new debit card issued. On February 25, he found that his lost debit card was being used.
Following investigations, the police arrested Rahul Sharma, 24, a resident of Noida, and Malkeet Singh, 25, a resident of Ghaziabad.
The accused told the police that they spotted a bag in Karol Bagh on January 23nd found a debit card with the PIN written on the backside in it.
They withdrew cash and bought expensive jackets, shoes, mobile phones using the card.
Malkeet is a jobless drop out while Rahul had completed his graduation and was now pursuing a management course through correspondence.
