Mayor Sovan, wife assets worth `5cr

Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee has been chief minister of West Bengal for over 10 years and before that he occupied important ministeriat berths in Jyoti Basu’s Cabinet for over two decades and yet he does not own any movable or immovable assets but Sovan Chatterjee, who had been mayor of Kolkata for one year and was a councillor in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation for the past few years, owns assets worth `5 crore jointly with his wife.

A new entranrt in electoral politics, Abhijit Mukherjee also owns assets worth four and a half crore rupees jointly with his wife.
Mayor Chatterjee has movable assets worth `27 lakh while his wife Ratna Chatterjee’s movable assets are `34 lakh.
