Maya warns party of stern action against indiscipline
UP chief minister and BSP president Mayawati, on Saturday, warned party workers against indiscipline and said that anyone found to be breaking the party discipline for vested interests would be dealt with sternly.
The chief minister who was addressing a meeting of party leaders, expressed anger at the fact that some party leaders had violated her directives and had participated in the recently-held panchayat elections.
“Since this is the first time, I am forgiving you all but the next time, I will take strict action,” she warned. However, she added that efforts must be made to ensure that the BSP gets maximum number of zila panchayat heads elected in the coming days.
It may be recalled that Ms Mayawati had earlier announced that the BSP would not participate in the panchayat elections but defying her diktat, a huge number of party leaders, legislators and ministers fielded their relatives in the panchayat polls.
