Maya says Rahul ‘scared’
UP chief minister Maya-wati on Sunday vowed her Bahujan Samaj Party would return to power in the state and mounted a vociferous attack on the Congress, and particularly on Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi.
Addressing a dalit-OBC rally here, she said the Congress was so afraid of he BSP’s growing clout that Mr Gandhi was skipping Parliament to campaign and “indulge in theatrics” in UP.
In an obvious reference to Mr Gandhi’s remark that the “elephant” (BSP symbol) was eating away Central funds, Ms Mayawati said: “The elephant is scaring the Congress yuvraj that he even dreams the elephant is chasing him.” She also accused the Centre of misusing the CBI to harass her and her family.
