Maya forced me to quit: BSP Ex-minister
Former UP minister Avadh Pal Singh Yadav, who resigned last month after being indicted by the Lokayukta, was suspended from the BSP on Thursday after he filed a petition in the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court claiming that he was forced to resign by UP chief minister Mayawati. Mr Yadav has said that his removal from his ministerial post was, therefore, illegal and arbitrary and has sought the court’s intervention in the matter.
BSP state president, Swami Prasad Maurya, has termed the former minister’s petition as an act of indiscipline and has suspended him form the BSP.
Mr Yadav, in his petition, has pleaded that his political rivals has been making efforts to get him removed form his ministerial position since quite some time.
