Maria Susairaj convicted in Neeraj Grover murder case

A Mumbai court has convicted a Naval officer and a Kannada actress in connection with the 2008 Neeraj Grover murder case.

Maria Susairaj was convicted of destruction of evidence and Navy officer Emile Jerome Mathew was convicted of murder.

Matthew allegedly killed Grover when he found him in Maria's apartment in Malad West on May 7, 2008. He suspected that they were having an affair.

The pair then allegedly chopped the body into pieces and disposed it off in the woods around Manor. They were arrested on May 21.

Grover's family has, however, demanded that Susairaj and Mathew be given the death sentence.
