UP mantri faces FIR for triple murder
A local court in Etah district has ordered that FIRs be lodged against UP minister Avadh Pal Singh Yadav, his three family members and over 15 unknown persons in connection with three murders that took place on June 10 in the district.
Chief judicial magistrate Buddhi Sagar Misra ordered the police to lodge an FIR against Avadh Pal Singh Yadav, who holds the animal husbandry and dairy development portfolio, his two brothers and son, besides 15 to 20 unknown persons in the case.
One Vijay Verma, his son Abhinav Verma and their gunner Santosh Yadav were killed in Jaithra area under Aliganj police station area of the district on June 10 and one of the sons of the deceased had accused the minister of being involved in the triple murder case.
However, Anurodh Yadav, the brother of the gunner, later moved the court and on his petition, the CJM passed the orders on Saturday.
One of minister’s brothers, Chandra Pratap Yadav, named by the court is also a member of the UP Legislative Council.
UP Lokayukta N.K. Mehrotra, who is investigating corruption charges against the minister, had sent a CD to the chief minister in which the wife and son of the deceased Verma had alleged the role of the minister and his family.
Meanwhile, there was no reaction from the state government on court orders.
