Man shot dead over property tiff in Kerala

A 37-year-old man was shot dead at Bharananganam near Pala on Saturday evening by his in-laws’ neighbour allegedly over a boundary dispute.

According to police, George, 60, of Kandathil house, shot dead Serjo, son of John of Vilangayil house, at Athirampuzha, in a fit of rage using a country-made pistol. Serjo’s mother-in-law Susamma also got injured in the attack. George was still absconding.

Serjo was on a visit to his in-laws when the incident took place. The in-laws have a boundary dispute with George.

Police said the assassin used a licenced gun and the victim was shot in his neck.
The body of Serjo has been kept in the mortuary of Kottayam MCH.
