Man makes wife call lover, kills him

Furious after discovering that his wife was having an affair with another man, a Santa Cruz resident made his wife call her paramour for a supposedly secret rendezvous and killed him in front of her.
However, unknown to the couple, the deceased managed to make a distress call to his friend just before dying, leading to their arrest. According to the Santa Cruz police, three months ago Javed Sheikh (36) discovered that his wife Riti (28) was having an affair with Naved Sheikh (22), a Mahim resident who used to work near their residence at Milan subway in Santa Cruz.
“Javed had warned Riti, and had also asked her to stay away from Naved more than once. However, on Saturday he learnt that she was still in touch with Naved, which made him very angry. He then forced Riti to call Naved for a private meeting on the terrace of Riddhi Siddhi Apartments near the Santa Cruz station, where her mother lives,” said an officer with the Santa Cruz police. An unsuspecting Naved arrived at around 9 pm and was attacked by Javed. After raining blows on him, Javed whipped out a chopper from under his shirt and stabbed him in the neck, chest and stomach and made Riti watch the murder. He then left Naved to bleed to death while the couple continued to argue near the body.
“Sometime later, Naved’s friend Naeem called to ask him where he was. Unknown to Javed and Riti, Naved, who was severely injured but alive, answered the call and managed to convey that he had been attacked.
Naeem then rushed to the police station and informed us about it,” said Madhukar Chaudhari, senior police inspector, Santa Cruz police station.
Naved had told Naeem that he was going to meet Riti, and the friends had planned to meet later.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
