Man gets 7 years RI for raping two sisters

A man was sentenced to seven years of rigorous imprisonment by a court here for raping two sisters of Dala village in the district.

Additional Sessions Judge Harpal Singh also imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on Jugraj Singh yesterday.

However, two other accused Gurtej Singh and Jagjit Singh were acquitted by the court.

Gurtej Singh, a neighbour of the victims, had introduced them to Jugraj Singh.

Jugraj along with his accomplices took the two sisters to Nainadevi in Himachal Pradesh where he raped them two years back.
