Mamata: babus with CPM link DEFAMING ME

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday said that a section of government employees owing allegiance to the CPI(M) were not only constantly creating hurdles in the smooth functioning of the administration but were also trying to defame her. “You must understand that all of them (govt employees) are not our people. So, whenever in a government hospital, an employee refuses to give you medicines saying that the government has not provided them, you should know that he is a CPI(M) man. Or if you visit a DM office for some work and some government personnel tells you not to bother him then you should know that he is a CPI(M) man,” she said.
The chief minister was addressing a rally at Jagulia in Nadia district. “Do not raise hands on them or beat them up but tell them firmly that they had been appointed to provide service to the poor and they must perform their duty,” she added. Ms Banerjee elaborated that many of the CPI(M) supporters were holding government jobs and they could not be sacked. “I do not even want to remove them but I want them to work without doing any mischief. But some of them are constantly doing mischief,” she added.
