Maderna, Bishnoi custody extended

The CBI grilled key suspect Sahiram Bishnoi in Bhanwari Devi case on Saturday while the CBI court in Jodhpur has extended the judicial custody of sacked minister Mahipal Maderna and Parasram Bishnoi till January 6. A section of Jat leaders, meanwhile, came openly in support of Maderna and questioned the decision to handing over probe to the CBI.

According to the sources, Sahiram Bishnoi, who surrendered on Friday before the court in Jodhpur, admitted his closeness with Maderna and arrested Congress MLA Malkhan Singh, but denied his role in abduction of nurse Bhanwari Devi.
The CBI has now intensified its effort to apprehend one absconding suspect Bishnaram, who is a history sheeter in Jodhpur rural area.
According to the sources, Bishnaram’s name figured as a key helping hand with Sahiram Bishnoi in Bhanwari’s disappearance case.
The CBI has also launched a search for Indira Bishnoi, the sister of Congress MLA Malkhan Singh. The nurse Bhanwari Devi has been missing since September 1 following a controversial CD came in to light featuring her with Maderna in a compromising position.
